Developing The Face Of Your Ministry...
The Branding Iron - Church Branding
Branding (n): Communicating the essence of who you are in everything you do.
- What sets you apart?
- What makes you unique?
There are thousands of churches and orginizations out there, yet God has given a uique vision and purpose for your ministry. This is the essence of who you are, and it needs to be displayed in everything you do.
Do People Know Who You Are?
The reality is that the majority of people when presented with a decision will choose the choice more familiar, then the one that is unfamiliar to them. Our intention and goal when we partner with you in marketing your church or minstry is to help you become a familiar face in your community, so that they have an idea who you are, and what you're all about.
Take this illustration as an example:
Say you’ve had a busy morning, meeting after meeting, and its an hour or two past lunch time and your hungry. So, you go down the street and there are only 2 food restaurants available; McDonalds and Peter’s Burgers.
Which would you choose?
For the most part you would probably choose McDonalds, just like the majority of people would. It’s not because McDonalds is your favorite, in all actuality McDonald’s might typically be your last place to eat, but when presented with a choice between a familiarity and a unknown (although the unknown may be a better choice) the common decision is with the familiar.
Why?
The reason is simple, it’s because the familiar provides a comfortable and secure decision. You know for a fact that McDonald’s will be some what satisfying, and that while it may not be a healthy choice who knows what Peter’s Burgers cooks with or how the food tastes.
Although McDonalds may not be the best example the concept is still true, and in the same way this is our intention and goal when we partner with you in marketing your church/ministry. To make your church/ministry a familiarity to your surrounding community, so that they have an idea who you are, and what you’re all about.
The Bible speaks of how seeds are sown, watered, and how God reaps the harvest, and in informing the community of your church/ministry you are planting seeds. A person may not necessarily attend your church when they come across the first flyer you send out. However, down the path of their life they will go through tough times and crushing moments, and that could be the moment the seed sown through a flyer or brochure sent out could come into fruition.
So, Let’s Partner Together!
